Pharmaceutical Compounding: Safeguarding the Patient, Worker and Environment.

The USP Convention is the not-for-profit, science-driven organization that sets standards for the identity, strength, quality and purity of medicine and publishes the US Pharmacopeia. The convention is currently updating the three chapters that govern pharmacy compounding and hazardous drugs, USP general chapters <795>, <797> and <800>. The new rules they contain will become enforceable on Dec. 1, 2019, by multiple federal and state regulatory agencies.
