Prior to joining Provista, Metz was a portfolio executive at Vizient, a supply contracting partner and the parent company of Provista. While at Vizient, he helped customers identify opportunities for purchasing capital equipment that met their needs and delivered maximum value. He also held purchasing manager positions at Regent Surgical Health and Medline Industries. While at Regent, Metz was a member of the Provista Ambulatory Surgical Center Council, advising on surgical center issues. He was also a frequent contributor to the Regent newsletter.
Metz holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
Metz strives to move organizations, including some of the supply chain partner's largest customers, into Provista standardization programs for the financial rewards, reduced product variation and improved procurement processes. He is also a proponent of using data and analytics to enable customers to gain visibility into purchasing and supply chain management.
